Undine

Undine is the Mana Spirit of water, and the first one Randi meets.  She also gives him a Javelin.  “Undine” is a common name for elemental water beings, and they’re often found in art and music.  Secret of Mana has many French influences, and it’s possible that Undine is a reference to “Ondine”, the title of pieces composed by the Impressionists Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel.
