Characters

Secret of Mana’s rich diversity of characters is a huge part of why the game remains so memorable. Sadly, many characters were not explored to their potential, and some only appear briefly. We take a look at virtually every significant one in the game, along with Localization Notes, and character lore from outside the game itself. The translation of the script that was made for this project is also featured throughout. As you can see, American gamers had even less information than those who lived in Japan. We also have a lot of art from around the time of the game’s release and prerelease screenshots showing how characters evolved.
